Description
This is a genuine Vintage Showa Era Honda Racing F1 Grand Prix International Pit Crew coverall suit. These specialized all-weather coveralls are only distributed to the official racing team crew and not sold to the public.
Honda started its journey in Formula 1 in 1964. It was the first Japanese company to design and build its own chassis and engine for Grand Prix racing. In 1965, Honda won its first race at the Mexican Grand Prix with the RA272, showing its fast progress.
After a short break, Honda returned in the 1980s as an engine supplier. It powered teams like Williams and McLaren during a successful period. From 1986 to 1991, Honda engines helped famous drivers such as Nelson Piquet, Ayrton Senna, and Alain Prost win many championships, establishing Honda’s reputation for high-performance engines.
