The Chiba Lotte Marines are a professional baseball team in Japan’s Pacific League based in Chiba City, Chiba Prefecture, in the Kantō region, and owned by Lotte Holdings Co., Ltd. The Marines were a founding member of the Pacific League in 1950 as the Mainichi Orions when the Japanese Baseball League reorganized into Nippon Professional Baseball.

The Marines have won four Japan Series championships in 1950, 1974, 2005, and 2010. They have also won the Pacific League championship five times, in 1950, 1960, 1970, 1974, and 2005.
