City Hunter: Angel Dust is the upcoming anime film commemorating the television anime’s 35th anniversary. It is the sequel to the 2019 anime film City Hunter: Shinjuku Private Eyes. The film is set to premiere in Japanese theaters in 2023.
Ryo Saeba and his partner Kaori Makimura operate the “City Hunter” disposal shop in Shinjuku. Recently, they were contacted by Angie, a female video creator, to help find her missing cat. Meanwhile, Saeko Nogami is working with Umibozu and Miki from the Metropolitan Police Department to investigate Zoltic, a biotech company that creates superhuman soldiers using a dangerous technology known as “Angel Dust.” This technology once caused Ryo to become consumed and resulted in the death of her partner, Hideyuki Makimura.
